Bruce S. Hawn’s experience in his family’s varied businesses serve him well as an attorney representing clients in commercial litigation, banking, real estate, oil and gas, and non-profit law.

A conservative attorney who believes in the doctrine of stare decisis – that laws should be obeyed and not bent – Bruce spent several years in the business world before enrolling in law school, where he finished at the top of his class. In addition to his legal practice, Bruce runs a mid-size private foundation and represents other foundations which has resulted in a hands-on education in financial matters.

Mr. Hawn believes it is important to be honest, to be sensitive to a client’s needs and desires, and to respond to clients promptly and thoroughly. His integrity and his ability to thoroughly analyze the law set him apart from other attorneys, and it’s that thorough legal knowledge that has been instrumental in his success.

Mr. Hawn who considers himself a native Texan is married and has four children ages 6 to 21. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting and fishing. A great admirer of the Gulf of Mexico and the Laguna Madre, Bruce is an advocate of responsible use of marine resources.
